1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using PatriotsConnect ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

2. Eligibility

To use PatriotsConnect, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Be a Nigerian citizen or legal resident
• Have valid identification documents for verification
• Not be prohibited from using our services under Nigerian law
• Not have been previously banned from the platform

3. Account Registration and Verification

3.1 Account Creation

You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.

3.2 Identity Verification

All users must complete identity verification using one of the following:

• National Identification Number (NIN)
• Driver's License
• International Passport
• Voter's Card
• CAC (for business/agency accounts)

Providing false information or using fake documents will result in immediate account termination and may be reported to law enforcement.

4. User Conduct

You agree NOT to:

• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content
• Harass, bully, or threaten other users
• Post hate speech, discriminatory content, or incite violence
• Share explicit sexual content or pornography
• Violate any local, state, national, or international law
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Share spam, advertisements, or unsolicited messages
• Use the Service for any commercial purpose without permission
• Attempt to hack, manipulate, or disrupt the Service
• Scrape, collect, or harvest user data without permission
• Create multiple accounts to evade bans or restrictions

5. Content Ownership and Rights

5.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of content you post on PatriotsConnect. However, by posting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, distribute, and display your content for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.

5.2 Our Content

All intellectual property rights in the Service, including software, design, logos, and trademarks, are owned by PatriotsConnect. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our permission.

6. Government Officials and Agencies

Government officials and agencies must apply for special verification and provide:

• Official documentation proving government employment
• Agency authorization for social media use
• Official logo and branding (for agencies)

Verified government officials must maintain professional conduct and may not use their official status for personal gain or political campaigning.

7. Privacy and Data Protection

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We comply with Nigerian Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) and international data protection standards.

8. Message Requests and Communication

PatriotsConnect uses a message request system to protect users from unwanted messages:

• Messages from non-connections require acceptance before delivery
• Users can reject, accept, or block message requests
• Spam or abusive message requests may result in account suspension
• You are responsible for the content of your messages

9. Reporting and Moderation

We maintain a 24/7 moderation system. Users can report:

• Inappropriate posts or content
• Abusive users or behavior
• Spam or scams
• Fake accounts or impersonation

We review all reports within 24 hours and take appropriate action, including warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent bans.

10. Account Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Violate these Terms of Service
• Engage in illegal activities
• Repeatedly violate community guidelines
• Provide false verification information
• Abuse or harass other users

Banned users may not create new accounts. Attempts to evade bans will result in immediate termination.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. We are not responsible for content posted by users or for any interactions between users.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PATRIOTSCONNECT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold PatriotsConnect harmless from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.

15. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via the app or email. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
